Welcome SYTA members!

SYTA Responsible Travel Committee, Peace Through Tourism, and Your Big Year® have partnered to empower young travelers to foster peace and develop global citizens.

The Global Citizens Education Program is a turnkey education program requiring no additional management: SYTA members simply offer it to their clients as a value added differentiator. For no cost, educators can access into educational resources to support before, during and after their travel. Through a 4-part program, educators gain tools to teach sustainable, responsible travel, preparing young travelers to make the most of their journey.

Through our Global Citizens program, students discover how travel connects them to the wider world and learn practical skills for cross-community/cultural engagement. Travelers explore what it means to be a responsible global citizen and how their attitudes and actions during travel can foster peace and understanding when traveling and at home, positioning SYTA members at the forefront of developing the next generation of global citizens.
