1. Overview
The Global Citizens Challenge (the “Program”) is managed by Your Big Year, an International Connector LLC program (the “Manager”). Participation in the Program is subject to these Terms and Conditions.
2. The Program
Selected participants will take part in a virtual program provided by official Program partners.
There is no fee to participate. Applicants acknowledge that the Manager, Your Big Year, and partners are not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants. Any such costs are the sole responsibility of the participant and/or their guest.
If a selected participant is ineligible, cannot be contacted, fails to respond within five (5) days of notification, or declines participation, the position or prize may be forfeited. The Manager may, in its sole discretion, select an alternate participant.
3. Term
The application period begins November 20 at 9:00 a.m. (PDT) and ends February 24, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (PDT) for the Global Citizens Challenge taking place February 26–March 1, 2026 (the “February 2026 Challenge”).
Applications submitted after the deadline may be added to a mailing list for future opportunities.
4. Eligibility
Applicants for the February 2026 Challenge must be between 15–20 years old.
Applicants under eighteen (18) years of age must have parental or legal guardian approval confirmed when agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
Parental Consent – Partner Programs (NYC DYCD)
For applicants under eighteen (18), parental or legal guardian consent is required.
If an applicant has previously submitted a signed parental or guardian consent form through an official partner program of Your Big Year, including but not limited to the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (NYC DYCD), such consent shall extend to participation in the Global Citizens Challenge and related Your Big Year programming, provided participation is consistent with the scope of the original consent.
By participating, the applicant and their parent/guardian represent and warrant that any prior consent remains valid and enforceable.
The Manager reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to request additional documentation, verify prior consent, or deny participation if satisfactory verification cannot be obtained. Failure to provide requested documentation may result in disqualification.
Nothing herein obligates the Manager to independently verify prior consent unless it elects to do so.

Applicable Only to the February 26–March 1, 2026 Challenge
The prizes described below apply exclusively to the February 2026 Challenge and do not apply to any other program session unless expressly stated in writing by the Manager.
All prizes are contingent upon the February 2026 Challenge taking place as scheduled. If the Challenge is postponed, modified, suspended, or canceled for any reason — including force majeure events (acts of God, natural disasters, government action, public health emergencies, labor disputes, technical failures, fraud, or causes beyond the Manager’s reasonable control) — the Manager reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, substitute, reduce, suspend, or cancel prizes without liability.
Reflection Awards
Two (2) participants will each receive USD $500 for submission of the two highest-rated reflections submitted in connection with the February 2026 Challenge.
Winning reflections will be determined by a vote conducted by official Program partners at Peace Through Tourism, applying criteria determined in their sole discretion. All decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
Partner/Class Group Incentive Awards
Ten (10) Jasbby prepaid cards, each loaded with USD $20, may be awarded to selected youth participants within designated partner or class groups participating in the February 2026 Challenge.
Distribution will be determined at the sole discretion of the Manager and/or Program partners. Receipt of a card is not guaranteed.
General Prize Conditions
All prizes:
Are non-transferable and non-assignable
Are subject to eligibility verification
May be substituted with a prize of equal or greater value if unavailable
May be withheld pending required documentation
If a prize recipient is under eighteen (18), the prize may be awarded to or distributed through the parent/guardian or partner organization as required by law or institutional policy.
Recipients are responsible for any applicable taxes or reporting obligations.
Nothing obligates the Manager to award a minimum number of prizes if eligibility or participation thresholds are not met.
11. Promotion of Applicants
Names and likenesses of applicants and selected participants may be used in media campaigns, websites, social media, and publications in connection with promotion of the Program.
12. License
By entering, applicants grant the Manager and Partners a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works from submitted entries in connection with the Program and its promotion, without additional compensation.
Applicants waive any moral rights associated with their submissions where permitted by law.
13. General Conditions
If the operation of the Program is impaired for any reason, the Manager may suspend or modify the Program.
The Manager may disqualify any applicant found tampering with the process or violating these Terms.
Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.
14. Release and Limitation of Liability
By participating, applicants release and hold harmless the Manager, partners, sponsors, selectors, affiliates, and related entities (the “Released Parties”) from any claims arising from participation or receipt of any prize.
Liability is limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Program. The Released Parties shall not be liable for attorney’s fees, punitive, consequential, or indirect damages.
15. Governing Law
All disputes shall be resolved individually in the appropriate court located in Delaware, United States of America.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
