Session Descriptions

  • PenPal Sessions: small group discussions among regionally diverse youth.

  • International Action Hub: interactive activities through virtual tools stimulating debate and discussion.

  • Virtual Passports: As friendships are formed, youth collect stamps from the countries of their new friends. 

  • Tourism Industry Leaders Panel: professionals from different sides of the tourism industry speak about their experiences.

  • Leadership sessions with youth leaders: Specific topics and trainings are led by leaders who have previously participated in the GCC.

  • Deeper Conversations: Discussions of  in depth topics around travel, sustainability and more. 

  • Virtual tours from our host city: museums, attractions and other sites host a virtual tour from the host city.

  • Collaborative games: Interactive fun sessions to engage regionally diverse youth participants.

  • Sustainable travel workshop: Encourages youth to think of ways they can make their trip more meaningful and locally impactful.

  • Youth-led discussions on global challenges: With the Global Goals as the framework, the youth discover that they share challenges globally and work together to discuss solutions.

  • Badges and certificates: Youth earn badges and certificates from their participation and action.

  • Language-specific sessions: Spanish, Arabic and French sessions are held to engage deeper through native languages. Other language sessions are encouraged.

  • Daily plenary, Virtual Hangout Sessions and Orientations: Other programming with speakers, youth discussions and virtual tool training. Introduction into the program, expectations and what they need to do to complete the challenge.
