Established following the tragic death of Caroline Stuttle during her gap year, CRF aims to help save lives and keep young people safe by emphasising the importance of and raising knowledge of travel safety awareness issues. Aimed at young travellers, CRF works with the education sector, the Foreign Office and other organisations, trusts and charities, to provide easily accessible and helpful information about safe travel. Funds raised would be used to support our various promotional and educational activities and awareness campaigns, including maintaining and updating our ‘Global Guide’, expanding our education in schools and colleges programme and training and deploying additional tutors to widen our team. CRF should be included as our aims fit well with YBY’s mission of encouraging global citizenship and social responsibility. CRF encourages young people to travel in the safest and most socially responsible way possible and to respect and value diversity and be aware of the impact their travels have upon the people and places they visit. Being selected as a YBY charity would be advantageous not only to our charity but also to all YBY competition entrants as they have a shared interest in travel and would therefore benefit from CRF’s travel safety advice.
